What We Do

e-Builder provides facility owner/developers, architects, engineers and contractors with on-demand (Web-based) project management and collaboration software. This software in turn helps organizations improve business processes during the planning, design, and construction phases of complex capital projects, with quantifiable and measurable results.

Our software helps users collaborate, streamline information exchange, standardize business processes, and manage an unlimited number of project information in one centralized location.

Benefits include reduced cycle times, increased project visibility and team accountability, improved program oversight and control over costs, schedules, and scope, improved project planning, and improved decision making based on readily available project data.

The e-Builder platform is scalable and designed to support companies managing projects of all sizes and scopes, providing a low-cost, easy-to-use, web based solution.

e-Builder History

e-Builder is the nationally recognized pioneer of web-based project management and collaboration software to improve project management, communication and collaboration in construction. The company was honored in 1995 by Engineering News-Record as one of the Top 25 Newsmakers of the year.

The company was co-founded in 1994 by CEO Jonathan Antevy. Jon experienced first-hand the frustrations of dealing with inefficient business processes, fragmented team structures, miscommunication, and poor accountability after working as a pre-construction services specialist. While working on his master's thesis at the University of Florida, Jon came up with the concept of bringing practical construction applications to the web. The goal was to enable collaboration and facilitate information sharing across the many stakeholders involved in planning, design, and construction. His thesis evolved into a business plan that gave rise to what we know today as e-Builder.

e-Builder was launched in 1995, and has since been used by hundreds of North America's leading facility owners, architecture and engineering firms, and construction companies. In 2000 McGraw-Hill made a strategic investment in e-Builder. Sound management and a client-centric focus helped the company push past the dot-com boom and subsequent bust, which saw many players enter and exit the online project management space.

Since its launch the company has been 100% focused on planning, design, and construction, and remains a top provider of project management solutions. e-Builder is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
